Symptoms of Acute Pancreatitis-

 Sudden onset excruciating pain in the abdomen and radiating to the back that makes person to toss is the typical symptom of acute pancreatitis.  Alcohol and Gallstones are the commonest cause of acute pancreatitis.  This diseases can be life threatening. 

Diagnosis is done by 

CT Scan abdomen. MRI Scan MRCP

Serum Lipase Amylase Liver Function Test CBC

Treatment can be non surgical and surgical.

Initial treatment consists Supportive care,  ICU Care, Antibiotics & Pain Killers

Later treatment if complications occur necrosis, pseudocyst, abscess and bleeding need surgery.
